The Ontario Science Centre in conjunction with the ROM, University of Toronto, York University and Royal Astronomical Society is shortly to host what proves to be a wonderful 1/2 day line up of speakers and videos on Saturday October 16, 2010. Free with general admission to the Science Centre. Thanks to Laural for bringing this event to our attention!

Over the summer, I have been tidying up my study materials and getting ready for the new teaching season which starts at the end of September. One of the topics I have been looking at recently is the Phases of the Moon, part of the Intermediate Level course.

My last blog entry went the way of the 32 - 34 degree C weather here in Toronto a couple of weeks ago and disappeared out of sight, so I will start anew! Sincere congratulations to all who sat the May examinations and who have by now received their results. Hope you are enjoying a relaxing summer, you have certainly earned it!
